Welcome to the CERME15 website
Dear Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we invite you to attend the 15th Congress of the European Society for Research in Mathematics Education (CERME15), to be held in Bratislava, Slovakia, from 8 to 12 February 2027. The congress will be hosted by Comenius University in Bratislava, jointly organised by the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics and the Faculty of Education—the two leading faculties in mathematics teacher education in Slovakia.
Slovakia is honoured to host CERME for the first time, and we are delighted to welcome the international mathematics education research community to Bratislava. Comenius University, the country’s oldest and most renowned university, provides a strong academic foundation and an active, evolving community in the field of mathematics education.
We aim to offer a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment where researchers from across Europe and beyond can share ideas, build connections, and engage in meaningful academic exchange. CERME15 will also be preceded by a YERME day, dedicated to supporting early-career researchers entering the field.
Our CERME15 logo features one of Bratislava’s iconic bridges, symbolising not only connection—between people, countries, and ideas—but also the three core CERME values: communication, cooperation, and collaboration. These values are reflected in the joint efforts of the two organising faculties and extend outward, inspiring new and lasting partnerships across the European mathematics education community.
